Our mission

The main wealth of Castel dell'Aquila is the vast Nature Reserve it offers to its guests, as well as the opportunity to learn from it thanks to the conservation efforts being carried out.

We believe that to educate means to strive, grow, give, and receive great smiles. Maybe we won't change the world, but we can change someone's world. For this reason, through our environmental education project, we promote principles of respect for nature care and culture to establish ethical foundations in the use of natural resources, with activities such as:

• • Educational workshops within the reserve;
• • Educational workshops in the community of San José de La Montaña and surrounding areas;
• • Environmental interpretation through guided tours along established routes;
• • Studies on fauna and flora;
• • Monitoring and identification of traces;
• • Monitoring vulnerable species;
• • Agreements with non-governmental organizations;
• • Agreements with public and private universities;
• • Conservation strategies in collaboration with nearby protected areas.
